The BT's, unlike some other ranges (Winds, Sierra, Sangres) don't really have one obvious "line" through them, so I explored a lot of different route possibilities - several different loops, some point-to-point hikes, etc. The other difficulty is that there's zero beta on some of the passes I routed myself over - or if there was beta, it was old, crappy, or vague (i.e. extrapolating terrain descriptions from random nearby peaks on Summitpost). If I had to put a number on it, I'd probably say 30 or 40 hours of route planning.

Everything else was pretty easy to research (i.e. weather, bugs, snow expectations, trailhead logistics) and didn't take too long.LarryBoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07234828576266704188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7763075223255003562.post-18503122303881981892016-08-28T17:29:10.728-06:002016-08-28T17:29:10.728-06:00Pics looks awesome man - how much time would you s...Pics looks awesome man - how much time would you say you put into planning for this trip?MDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16191309623557440831noreply@blogger.com
